Having canceled a visit to Indonesia this year, U.S. President Barrack Obama promised to visit Indonesia in 2010. Obama hopes his wife and son can go where his childhood in Indonesia, as in Menteng Dalam.
"I will visit Indonesia next year at the invitation of President Yudhoyono," Obama said in a bilateral meeting of President Obama and President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore, Sunday (15/11/2009).
Obama hopes his wife, Michele and the girls are able to participate with him.
"Michele and I hope my children can visit the places where I used to," Obama said in the meeting for 45 minutes after the ASEAN-US Summit on the sidelines of the APEC summit was in 2009.
Obama is also to offer her thanks to SBY.
"I express my gratitude to President Yudhoyono on your leadership and your commitment to improve relations between the two countries," he said.
