King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand waves to well-wishers as he leaves the Siriraj Hospital on his 82nd birthday on December 5, 2009 in Bangkok, Thailand. Adulyadej has been King since 1946 and is now Thailand's longest serving monarch. He was admitted to hospital several months ago with flu like symptoms but was discharged in time to celebrate his birthday celebrations.
