Chelsea Clinton is to marry her long-term boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky.
The daughter of former U.S. president Bill Clinton and current Secretary of State Hilary Clinton sent out a group email to friends to officially announce the news.
Chelsea, 29, who works for a hedge fund in New York, and Marc became friends while they were both studying at Stanford University in California.

Marc, 31, who is the son of former Republicans Ed Mezvinsky and Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky, is an investment banker with Goldman Sachs.
The couple sent out an e-mail on Friday morning, which stated: ‘We're sorry for the mass e-mail but we wanted to wish everyone a belated Happy Thanksgiving!
‘We also wanted to share that we are engaged!
‘We didn't get married this past summer despite the stories to the contrary, but we are looking toward next summer and hope you all will be there to celebrate with us. Happy Holidays! Chelsea & Marc.’

However, Matt McKenna, spokesman for Chelsea, said he believed the engagement had happened sooner, but was only officially announced on Friday.
Although the couple met at university, they didn’t start dating until 2005.
Marc’s family were close to Bill and Hillary Clinton during their time in the White House – and were frequent guests at state dinners.
They are both no stranger to political controversy.

Chelsea is said to have held her parents together during the Monica Lewinsky scandal.
While Marc’s father was released from federal prison last year after pleading guilty in 2002 to charges of bank and wire fraud.
After shunning the public spotlight for years, Chelsea became a fixture on the campaign trail during her mother's presidential bid in 2008, visiting colleges and universities around the country.
