Lech Aleksander Kaczynski

Lech Aleksander Kaczynski  (born June 18, 1949 - died 10 April 2010 at age 60 years) is the President of the Republic of Poland and politicians conservative Law and Justice party (Prawo i Sprawiedliwość / PiS). Kaczyński served as President of Warsaw in 2002 until December 22, 2005, shortly before being sworn in as president. He died with his wife in a plane crash in Russia on April 10, 2010.

Kaczynski won 8,257,468 votes (54.04%) in the second round (run-off) which was announced on October 23, 2005. He defeated his rival, Donald Tusk of the Public Interest Program Party (PO: Platforma Obywatelska) the neoconservatives who obtained 7,022,319 votes (45.96%).
Together with his twin brother, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, Lech Kaczynski is the leader of Law and Justice Party (Prawo i Sprawiedliwość).
Kaczynski is a conservative figure which emphasizes nationalism, Poland and supported by old people are not educated and rural residents. In the presidential election campaign in 2005, he attracted supporters by mengampanyekan importance of state intervention in regulating the economic and social assistance to the group could not.
Lech Kaczynski was killed in a plane disaster near the city of Smolensk in western Russia on April 10, 2010. His wife is also among the victims.
