Lily Allen wants to hunker down a bit, and she's just buying just the place to do it: a $2 million country mansion. The "Not Fair" singer, who has always lived in London, plans to hightail it out of the capital and opt for a more rural life with her boyfriend Sam Cooper.
A source said: “Lily’s had enough of London life. She may only be 24, but she’s done far more than most other girls her age in just a short space of time.”
The singer, who previously sang of her love of London in her hit single "LDN," reportedly wants to make the move so she is closer to her actor father Keith, who lives in a nearby village with actress Tamzin Malleson and their three-year-old daughter Teddie. Lily is so excited to make the move, she has already put her three-bedroom flat in north London up for rent at $1,200 a week.
Lily recently admitted she wants to be a “suburban mom” and raise a family in the countryside.
She said: "People think I'm this super-confident person who's all for female empowerment but it's not true. I have every intention of becoming a suburban mum. I want to get married and have children. Singing is a great job, but it doesn't leave time for what's important. Like having a family. I'd like to live in the country and have a walled garden, and chickens and pigs."
Last week, the singer revealed she would take a two-year break from the music industry to start a fashion business with her sister. She said: "I will take one or two years off from recording and performing music. The shop is about making fashion democratic for people."
